The sound of Thriller filled the dead streets of New York as the massive truck made its way down the streets, the lights on and the doors locked tightly. The driver allowed his truck to move at some speed, always looking for a probable spot to stop and collect gas, or canned and boxed goods which would last. MRE's stayed fresh for a long time, but even a military man wanted something real to eat from time to time. And canned peaches and apricots were his favorite.
When he finally spotted a likely spot, he slowed to a stop, turned off the radio and lights, and climbed into the back, before moving up to the gunners position, where he had a M134 Minigun attached, with a flamethrower strapped to the outside, just in case. Flipping the safety off, he allowed the weapon to spin up as he turned slowly, scanning the entire area.
When he was certain he was alone, for the moment, he reached down into the truck, grabbed his Colt M4A1, and placed it on top of the vehicle, next to the flamethrower. The next thing he did was to switch the safety on his minigun, and slide down into the truck, before moving to the door. Once there, he began the process of booby-trapping the vehicle with C4.
He left one door alone, and, once done, slipped out it. Closing it, he locked it, and then proceeded to trap it as well, making sure to place the explosives under the truck, hidden in the shadow of the massive tires. Leaning up, he flipped shut the hatch leading into the truck, and wired the gun and door with even more C4. Once done, he grabbed his Colt, made sure his 629 Competition Performance Center was secured, and moved towards the Wal-Mart. He stopped a few feet from the truck, and slid a set of NVGs over his eyes. It would block his periphial vision, but he would see in the darkness better.
