Jude, ironically named after a famous song by the Beatles, was the daughter to a five star general in the United States Army. The name has always been ironic because her father was a man of action. He believed in war and justice. There was no peace on Earth if there wasn't war. Her mother had been a hippy in her college days before she was a general's wife and thought Jude was a lovely name.
Jude liked her name well enough. She'd grown up with it and it suited her to the best of her knowledge. Being a stubborn woman, taking after her father. Yet having a gentle soul like her mother. Those who crossed her path wished they hadn't, while those who wished to become her friends she held close and dear.
Likes: Jude loves listening to music, but can't carry a tune in a pail. She likes swimming and camping, and has always been a sucker for a man in a cowboy hat.
Dislikes: Chatty people. She can't stand being around people who talk too much, believing they talk so much to try and hide something. She also hates sweets. Never liked them as a kid and didn't as an adult, either.

Jude had been on a military base overseas when she first heard about the terrible outbreak. She had been travelling with her father, since her mother had died years prior from cancer. She'd been training with a few of the peons, doing a little kick boxing for fun when the sirens blared loudly, alerting the men and women who served their country that there was a threat. It had taken some coaxing but she'd been able to get flown home with the rest of the civilians, parting from her father who had to do his civil duty. When she'd arrived back home, she'd found it to be a catastrophe. So without a home she'd become one of the Outcast, always wondering what had happened to her father and always searching for others.
