Ryan entered the amusement park. He was off duty for now so he came dressed in a pair of jeans and a black tee shirt. His boots crunched over some dead leaves that fluttered across the ground. It was sad, seeing this place as it was. Back in the day, it used to be so incredible and busy with the smells of food, cotton candy and just the noises of the amusement park over all. Now it was silent. Nothing moved, no more cotton candy or anything would ever be sold here again.
The rides lay unused and rusting. Paint was peeling off the large ferris wheel already due to exposed to elements. Ryan found a bench and sat down, just staring off into space, wishing things were the way they were, but of course the weren't. He stretched lazily. The day was fairly nice, in the 70s. The sun vanished behind some clouds. He breathed in deeply. The air smelled of flowers and just the normal spring scents.
He loved this time of year. Winter was not his favorite too much. Snow and ice was not his thing. California always stayed a nice calm temperature year round. Perhaps he should've went there.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We're JustMisguided Ghosts Traveling Endlessly Chuugi made her way to the amusment park, it was empty now. It was sad because she would take her younger sister on the rides because her partents woulden't. Chuugi was raised in Japan with her mother and father until she was twelve. When her mother became pregnant with her younger sister Usagi, they moved to America. She never knew why they picked to live in Maine.
She walked over to some of the rides and pucked at the rusty spots with her nail, she watched the rust flake off and drift to the ground. The sun was hiding behind the clouds but it was still fairly nice, it wasent to cold. But it wasn't to warm either. She was wearing a thin off the shoulder; light grey sweater, over a tank top. And black skinny jeans with black convers. Her hair was pulled back into a loose bun behind her head. She was wearing simple makeup.
She thought she heard something so she turned and thought she saw someone else. She decided to follow them, but she wouldn't get to close they might not be alive anymore. Once she realised that it was another human she decided that she might talk to him. She stopped for a moment to smell the air, she smelled flowers and she imagined beaing back home in Japan durring the Sakura Festival. The flowers falling from the trees and falling all around her and landing in her hair. When she snapped out of her dream like trance she realised that the man was gone from her site. She kept looking around for him and seh finally found him. She walked up to him slowly with a kind smile on her lips. "Hello?"

Ryan looked up at the young woman. He broke into a friendly smile and beamed at her.
"Hello. I'm Ryan. What's your name?" he asked her scooting over so she could have some room on the bench. He extended his hand out to her.
He studied her. She was from Japan. Ryan had only been to Japan once, but that was for a training thing he had to endure for the military. He grinned at her.
"So what bring you out to the amusement park? This place was amazing back in the day" He said wistfully as he looked around at the old tattered tents that were erected which housed freak shows, a gypsy teller and other things. Now, there were holes in the tent roof flapping in the wind each time the breeze hit it.
It was a sad image of happier times. But it was no use dwelling on the past now. It was useless. he smiled at the young woman.
"Cemetery Gates was a pretty good place to live. When the apocalypse hit though, naturally it went. Were you here nine years ago?" Ryan implied curiously cocking his head to the side curiously

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We're JustMisguided Ghosts Traveling Endlessly She shook her head and smiled happily. "My name is Chuugi Asoto." She shook hs hand and bowed her head quickly in respect. She looked at his face, trying to read the story in his eyes. "I know it was, I use to bring my sister here..." Her soft voice trailed off into silence. Her english was wonderful but she still had a slight accent that made people call it cute. Before the zombies showed up Chuugi was thinking about becoming a voice actress. That was one of the things she missed about her family, the support they always gave her. "No Ryan, I wasn't here nine years ago. I moved here six years ago. But when I was here it was always so nice, so I bet it was good bofore I got here too. But I will never know why they decided to move to Maine." She giggled and tilted her head the same way he had tilted his. "What about you? Were you here nine years ago?" She used her eyes to smile at him from under her eyelashes. At tht moment she remembered when here sister would take pictures of her and she would take pictures of her little sister. It put a huge smile on her face as well as brightening the smile in her eyes.

Ryan grinned at Chuugi's reply. She was refreshing, soft spoken. It relaxed him greatly.
Ryan stretched out lazily and turned back to Chuugi.
"Ah I see. I lived here my whole life" he said softly. "But unfortunately both my parents and siblings had taken the vaccine and they are no longer here." he said sadly. "Well in the sense of the word 'here'"
he added that last part sadly but smiled when Chuugi replied back to him again. He nodded.
"I actually visited Japan a while ago" he mused thoughtfully. "A great place and the people were wonderful. I felt very at home there. It was a military run I had to do for a training exercise"
He shifted his weight on the bench and looked at Chuugi.
"The town has some amazing food. The best place to go is the bar. Their food is delicious. Home cooked too" He added brightly. "Ever been?"
He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone. Surprisingly, the damn thing still worked. It amazed him. He looked up at her.
"Had anything to eat yet?" he asked her and waited for her to reply.
The least he could do was buy her lunch if she was hungry. Ryan needed some friends so this was certainly a good thing

My parents worked and my job was to watch her and pick up around the house and make dunner." She smiled proudly. "But sadly my little sister and my parents took the vaccine. So I was laft alone in my house." She nodded and blushed when he spoke of Japan. Nihon...Japan, I miss you so. She thought in her head, she wanted to take her sister there one day but now it would never be possiable. She looked at her lap and sighed softly at the sad thought, then she looked back up at him with a soft smile.
"I haven't had anything to eat yet today. What about you?" She balled up her right hand into a loose fist and used it to scratch her cheek. She had always scrached her face like this and its how she got the nickname Cat or Kitten from her friends. She wondered how he was dealing with everyone beaing figurativly gone.

Ryan watched Chuugi patiently and listened to her intently. He nodded.
"No I haven't eaten yet. how about I treat you to some lunch?" He offered to her softly as he got up from the bench and stretched lazily. "I know a good place in town that serves a really good hot meal"
He smiled at her friendly. "I'm sorry about your sister and family. It's not easy dealing with this" he said sympathetically. He motioned to his car parked just behind them.
"The towns only about five minutes from here. It's an easy drive" he said to her.
Most of the Re-animated were not really walking about during the day. Nighttime seemed to be their venue when they came out and 'walked' around. While most didnt bother moving vehicles and really didn't attack humans unless they were hungry, you still had to be on your toes around them. They weren't to be trusted.
Then there were the Zombies. Not the ones walking around mindless but the ones that vaccine turned into undead people. They had their mind , thoughts, memories, personality etc, except their heart wasn't beating anymore. It was a bit weird and a little easy to tell who was who

She looked over toward his car, she walked most everywhere so she wasn't use to riding in them. Hahasan always said, 'You must be polite, it will always count.' She stood up and followed them on the way to his car.
I hope the drive is short, I wonldn't want to run into any Zombies or reanimated. They bothered her because that shouldn't be physicaly possiable, but it had happened. "Ryan...If I may ask. Do you have anyone left?" She chewed on her bottom lip and stood on the pasanger side of the car door. Then when the door unlocked she slid into the seat. She never stopped listening to what Ryan said. It felt nice talking to another human, beaing around people felt nice. She realized how much she had missed it, and smiled happily.
