Luke sat in the starbucks, waiting for Georgia to arrive. He was dressed in a navy blue shirt and black slacks. The hem of his shirt was tucked neatly into the waist band of the slacks and a black leather belt was around his waist. Luke's wheat blond hair was neatly brushed back. His blue eyes scanned the Starbucks behind his thin rimmed glasses as he patiently waited for Georgia to arrive.
They'd been friends for ages really. Even though he was a vampire and she was a shifter. Some vampires didn't like shifters, but Luke loved her. He hated to admit to himself, but he was in love with her as well. She'd been there for him when Emma's parents, his sister, was killed a month ago. Emma lived with him and knew what he was. It didn't bother her much. He loved Emma like his own daughter. She loved Georgia as well. Luke gently ran his tongue over the tip of his fangs in thought while he took another sip of his coffee
He agreed with Alexander's want of going public, but the way he went about it wasn't exaclty the choice Luke would've made. Some of the humans were still fearful of the supernaturals, while others took to them just as fine. And then there were the Rogues, that wanted to take down the PSA and start some kind of revolution. It scared Luke and not much scared him at this point.

It was time for a little rest and relaxation, Georgia was currently on her way to Starbucks; the most important reason however, was to meet a good old friend. It had been a somewhat boring day for her, being jobless and out of education, but then again, what was there really for a Werewolf in this world? That was what Georgia was, a Werewolf, a large bipedal wolf, when the moon was right, when it was full.
Easily, she blended in, apart from those nights, but if she kept away from the world, it was easily masked - she looked normal, she looked human. It gave her a chance to lead a normal, and decent life, without the constant fear of the world around her, she could be herself, apart from when the moon was full. That wasn't to say that she was ashamed of herself - for being supernatural.
In fact, Georgia loved it, she loved being a Werewolf, she just hid from those who were afraid, to keep herself from being hunted. Walking through the door of Starbucks, she saw Luke sitting at the table in the corner; Luke being her old friend. Her hair was down, straight, she was a brunette; while wearing a dark navy hoodie, skinny denim pants, and black canvas sneakers.
Smiling a friendly light smile, she looked him in the eye with her green ones, and sat on the chair opposite. The nineteen year old parted her lips, and allowed her light yet content tone to speak out to him. "Hi Luke." The female spoke, with then allowing her green eyes to wonder, taking in the features of the Starbucks around her.

Luke's face lit up when Georgia slid into the seat across from him.
"Hey meatball what's up? Everything going ok?" He asked.
While his words were teasing and light, he was watching her with concern. He knew she was jobless and knew that jobs for werewolves were rather hard. He leaned forward a bit.
"Hey, how about I get you a job at the hospital with me? I mean I work in the EMT area but I know a spot that needs someone. one of the receptionists quit and they're stuck. They don't mind hiring us, so if you're interested, I could get you all the information" Luke offered her.
He felt bad that some people probably regarded her a little oddly, but then again, he was a vampire. People would certainly regard him more oddly than her.
He gently reached over and tapped her nose.
"Whatcha want? I'll pay my treat" He brightened at her and waited for her to respond.
The Starbucks was getting quiet now as people began dwindiling and heading home. The sun was starting to set but thankfully, it wasnt a full moon out. Granted, werewolves change on each quarter moon, but tonight it was crescent, so they could spent more time together. He filled up on blood earlier, so he wouldn't have to worry about feeding tonight. Emma was in a bad state as it was and he really didn't wanna freak the girl out anymore watching her uncle rip into a blood bank bag.
"Emma got suspended from school today" Luke sighed. "Some girls really got to her"
He watched Georgia closely.

Although, she was never shy, Georgia sat on the opposite side of the table; in silence. No, there was nothing wrong with her, nothing wrong at all. Georgia just sat thinking for a few moments or two. Thinking about her life, what it was, what it had been, and what it was going to become. It had never been all that interesting, maybe that was going to change, maybe not, but that was fine. Georgia didn't mind sitting around, waiting for everything to take it's place, then again, sometimes everything needed a little push. Luke sat on the opposite side of the table, and had been the first one to make words, other than her little hi at the beginning, but that was the only advance she had made.
The inside of her ears rang, whilst the vibrations of his deep masculine voice, joking, and asking if everything was okay. Sure, everything was okay, Georgia generally wasn't bothered with her life, it wasn't a bad one to live - apart from the whole little supernatural secret that she had going on. "Yeah, everything is fine, how about you?" Parting her lips as she spoke, letting loose her soft feminine voice as the vibrations of her words travelled up her throat pipes.
Georgia listened, hearing the offer to part through his lips, a job, that was great, well, she wasn't sure, it was a great offer and all. Inside she appreciated it, she really did, but she had no problem with the whole being jobless thing. Georgia was a werewolf; not a desperate woman who needed a job, there was a good thing about just living life, playing to your supernatural side, than the other boring half of you. "I can give it a shot, sure, but I don't mind not having a job, it's fun to see how life takes a turn without being bogged down with work." At least she was being honest with him right? It wasn't that she didn't appreciate it at all, Georgia was just happy with her life at the moment.
As he offered to pay for a coffee or something, she smiled, as a thank you. "Just a cappuccino is cool, thanks." Truth be told, Georgia wasn't a big coffee fan, at least not for all that heavy kind of stuff that some people liked. She didn't need caffeine to survive. "Oh no, what did she do? Is she okay?" She was concerned, but she knew Emma was capable and able to handle herself. As people started to leave, that didn't bother her, the day was coming to an end quicker and quicker by the minute.

Luke grinned at Georgia.
"It's fun having a job, well it's something to keep our minds going being the world is the way it is. I secured the hospital so there's no animated walking around. Plus, we have this place to ourselves" Luke said motioning to the starbucks. He had his gun strapped to his back in a shoulder holster. You really couldn't go anywhere in the area without one. He was worried about Georgia not having a gun to protect herself.
"Well the few kids that hang out with Emma started ragging on her about how her parents died before the apocalypse. It got to her real bad. I had to pick her up. Thankfully, there was only two Animated walking around, which was easy to handle" Luke said to Georgia sadly.
Things were hard, but being Emma's parents died before the apocalypse made it even worse cause it gave other kids ammo to tornent her. Luke gently tapped Georgia's nose.
"Come on let's head to the bar" Luke suggested eagerly. "Or do you wanna just head home? You really shouldn't be staying home alone without guns" Luke said with concern

Green eyes watched as a grin fell on the maw of the masculine figure sat opposite her. Georgia was grateful, she was grateful to have a good friend such as him - Luke had always been there for her, and that was something she appreciated, probably more than he realized. It was good in life, to have close friends, you never knew who was going to screw you around; then again some friends could just screw you over too. You needed to be smart, it had happened too many times in her life.
Georgia shrugged, as she heard the comment he started to make on the job, yeah, jobs were fun - when it was something you enjoyed, she didn't know just how well she was going to fit when it came down to a hospital. "It's okay, I love the offer, but a hospital is just not me." She smiled after her smooth sounding words.
At least she was being honest with him? That was what counted in this kind of situation right? Not that they were dating or anything, but you got the idea. "She'll be okay, just give her time." Every kid needed to adjust, especially with such a dramatic change in ones life.
He'd know that Georgia was right on this too, Emma was a smart girl, and she'd get through it with time. "I'm fine, you're forgetting I'm not exactly human, stop worrying. I'm up for anything." She smirked, over confident as that may be, he worried too much, Georgia could normally handle herself.

Luke grinned at Georgia.
Sometimes he did forget that she was not human. He gently bopped her shin under the table.
"Ok. Let me know if you ever change your mind ok?" he asked her softly.
He yawned and stretched his arms over his head. He enjoyed feeling his body as he stretched. He glanced at his watch. It was four PM. He liked being in the house after dark.
He finished his coffee and tuned to Georgia.
"Want a lift home?" he asked her reaching into his pocket and pulling out his Volvo XC60 SUV.
Thankfully, Georgia lived nearby as well. He knew she could take care of herself at times, but that didn't stop him from worrying about her. She was a good friend that he loved alot. If anything happened to her, it would destroy him.
"Tomorrow we will have a sleep over" Luke said. "I'm sure Emma would love that" he said gently.
He slid out of the booth and stood up. The sun had begun setting now and darkness began slipping over the town. Re-Animators usually came out at dusk and dawn, so it was best to be indoors at this time
