Luke entered his house. He'd just come back from doing a bit of shopping. Emma happily plopped down on the living room couch and immediately turned on the TV. She got into watching one of the programs. Luke shook his head chuckling. Harley and Callie were staying with him. He had plenty of room so it wasn't a big deal. The house was large and roomy.
Of course, there was bound to be some tension going on. He chewed on his bottom lip as he began putting away some of the groceries. He grabbed a bottle of root beer and opened it, taking a sip. He knew Harley loved him. He loved her too, he just wasn't in love with her. Callie was special. She reminded him of Laura. Luke flinched at the idea of a few cat fights going on. While it would be amusing at some point, he only hoped that they could be mature about it.
Luke shook his head, clearing the thoughts away. He wasn't sure where Harley or Callie were at this point. A smile formed on his face as he thought of Bella. She was so adorable and Emma seemed to have taken a great liking to Callie and Bella. Emma took the longest to warm up to people so this was a good sigh. She liked Harley well enough but she seemed a bit off around her. Luke didn't know why.

Harley laid in the guest room quietly. With the covers drawn up to her chin, she slid deeper into their thick, consuming depths. Her teeth bit into her bottom lip in frustration. She felt betrayed-- she knew she shouldn't. He'd never said he loved her. She'd never said she'd loved him. But for a short while she felt it was just an unspoken rule about them. Then she'd shown up. In annoyance, Harley yanked the covers off of her body and flung them on the floor in a frustrated act. She leaped out of the bed andm was at the window quickly, elbows leaning on the edge, eyes staring achingly out at the open road.
With and heavy sigh she glanced at the watch on her wall. It was late morning. She didn't normally sleep in, so Luke was bound to suspect something if she didn't show up soon. She quietly, stepping lightly, made her way to the full bathroom and began her morning ritual. She needed to get out-- soon.
In a matter of minutes she was dressed in her usual tight long sleeved shirt and a pair of clean jeans. She made her way down to the living room, putting on a fake, forced smile as she slid into the kitchen lithely to Luke. "Goodmorning." She chimed softly, immediately setting to work in helping place the groceries in their correct places. She glanced around slowly, nonchalantly, noticing that Callie didn't seem to be downstairs yet.

Callie had slept in a bit due to the lack of sleep received the night before. Isabelle was fussy and woke up multiple times throughout the hours. Living in a house with a few others, she tried her best to keep the one year old content. She'd feel bad if they were disturbing anyone but needless to say she warned Luke when he offered her a place to stay. It was a nice gesture to begin with and Callie was thankful to have a roof over her head. Not to mention a place safe for her daughter but he failed to mention the other woman that was living there. She didn't have a problem with it but it had come as a surprise. As usual, the twenty-five year old was genuinely nice to Harley but she could sense a tension rising in the air. She had no idea what it was about but it left her uneasy and wondering if she was prolonging her stay. She originally planned to leave after a few days because she desperately needed to find her father but there was something holding her back. It mainly had to do with the affection shared with Luke. He made her feel content.
Callie eventually rolled out of bed and tended to Isabelle before changing into some fresh clothes. She pulled her hair out from a ponytail and allowed it fall past her shoulders before walking down stairs, Belle in her arms. "Good morning." She spoke softly as she glanced around at the faces. She notices the groceries Luke had brought home and tended to them once she asked Emma to watch the baby. She smiled as the redhead gladly took the infant. Callie adorable the teenager and how well Luke had raised her. "I would have gone to help if I had known." She directed towards the man as she started helping them unload the items. One decent thing about the apocalypse was not having to pay for food. It was bittersweet but it helped. After putting everything away she grabbed a banana that would help ease her hunger. She took a few bites before walking back over to Emma, mushing up some pieces to feed to Isabelle.
