"destroy my pain, and capture life again"
Click, click, click, click.
Nails tapped rhythmically over the floors as the automatic doors slid open with a woosh and the massive black wolf padded in easily wearing what appeared to be two sets of saddle bags wrapped around his hips. Head was low and shoulder blades rolled as ears pricked and nose lifted. The stench of rotting meat was strong here but few dared to come here to loot it. That was where he came in. Reaching around the massive creature yanked the saddle bags closest to his front off and dropped them near the doors so if they slid open the bags would no only make a sound but block them from closing again. He kept his clothes just in case he needed to shift back in those bags. The ones he still wore were empty, he intended to fill them with as much as possible today and keep coming back until this place was all but empty. Eyes shifted as the creature turned, muscles coiling, he knew he had to be fast and quiet about it. Smart as well, only checking the zombie free rooms today. Tomorrow he'd come back in another form to begin systematically killing them. He had already scouted the place yesterday and it seemed that all the zombies who had been in the main area had made their way to better hunting grounds.
Not that they would have mattered, Reed had never run into any problems with the zombies before. After years and years of running from humans with guns the stumbling single minded ghoules were nothing the beast couldn't handle. Muscles rippled under ebony pelt as crooked tail swished. Hs body was riddled with silver lines that marked old scars, some areas were hair was sparse where he had recently been hurt and some still healing wounds even. Never by zombies, no. They couldn't touch him, it was the other rovers who he ran into. His last mash up with a vampire had ended badly, though Reed had run him off it had not been without a cost. The massive wolf gave another sniff to make sure no live scents mixed with the death that surrounded him and with a swift nod he stretched out and began darting forwards. He lunged at the first door and it split easily against his weight, the sound sure to attract something. But he paid it no mind, this was the first floor, it wouldn't be until the third that he would really have to worry about alternate escape routes.
He only paused for a moment, sniffing again before pushing in the bathroom doorway. Death... Not the reanimated but just dead... Grabbing the woman by her pant leg he pulled her flat and began rummaging through her clothing, yanking off her necklace and earrings to put in his bags. Chomping down on her ring finger he promptly spat the appendage out and pulled her wedding ring off. This place had been rather pricey to stay at when it had still been used as a hotel so it only lead one to believe that the treasures here would be unimaginable. Once done with the woman he did the same to the man, they had been holding each other, the backs of their heads blown out but the sentimentality didn't touch reed as he disgraced the bodies by moving and looting them. He did everything with practiced ease, moving onto the luggage next, dropping everything valuable or useful into the large sacks on his back. He was not being quiet, no need to here.
