He was always a bit of a fighter, liked starting things on the playgrund at a young age though he knew he always had his brother to back him up. Thats probably half the reason he acts as tough as he does today. He started working out at a fairly young age due to the apocolypse and wanting to be able to help but he still tends to hide behind his brother more then to fight his own battles. Though he is one excelent babysitter. His size allowes him to pick up just about any one of his siblings and pull them apart. He may not be good at finishing his own battles but he seems to be good at ending everyone elses. Landon is his twin so they were obviously very close, growing up Ian still looked up at his brother though even though they were only minutes apart at birth. As they matured there are some slight differences about them if you stand them side by side. Ian is just a bit thicker built while Landon is more lean and Ian's hair is a bit more curley then his brothers. Other then that they are exact mirror images of eachother. Ian is also the opposite of his twin in many ways, though they both want to find a cure Ian has joined the radicals to help make that happen.

Growing up they had a good life and a big family, Ian was always the type to complain whenever any of his younger siblings followed him around and yet he couldn't be without Landon for any length of time. He was always a follower, not a leader. He only started things if his brother did unless it was a fight in which case his brother more often then not had to finish them.They were at their Aunt Rita's when their parents got the vaccine and once Ian learned about what happened it was like he was shell shocked. He didn't speak to anyone except Landon for a number of year. He would silently stop fights and then Landon told him that he needed help and that was when he really stepped up. he began talking again and helping out. Though his brother would never ask him to go get food or money Ian would often sneak off when Landon was busy to go raid houses as well. When he turned 18 he joined the radicals in search for a cure.
