Brenden smirked at her comment towards his charm. She would know better than anyone about that and he was thankful that she never called him out on his behavior. He was lucky in that sense. The last thing he really wanted was for another woman to walk out on him but if she has he would probably resort to his not so serious ways. Shrugging off a blow to his heart was normal but knowing Tamara wasn't like most women he dated, being his best friend and all, he hoped she wouldn't do the same. He was positive she wouldn't and tried to push away what fear he had as she walked away. It was like him to worry and from now on he'd accept whatever came to be. Bren let out a heavy sigh as he put their pizza in the oven and then went into the next room to get a new change of clothes. It was no surprise that what she had was mainly his due to how many times he had been over and left stuff behind. He grabbed a plain white t-shirt and a pair of sweats and walked back out into the living room until Tamara was done with her shower. He had started to clean up the mess they made but quickly retreated to the shower once it was open.
Brenden stripped off his flow covered clothes and then jumped underneath the warm water. He washed the white powder out of his hair and from off his body. Once he was finished he dried off and put on the fresh pair of clothes. He hung the towel to dry and then walked back out to Tamara. "So what movie should we watch tonight?" Bren checked the pizza and pegged it to be ready. He grabbed a dish towel, taking the pan out of the oven and dished the food onto plates. "Bon appetite." He placed a little side of ranch on his own plate and then walked out into the living room. He handed Tamara her plate as he sat next to her on the couch. His stomach growled slightly at the site of food and without hesitation he began eating. Luckily being a cop kept him in shape otherwise he'd be gaining weight with all the crap he ate. He was never really one to care about his health anyways.

Tamara smiled and dug into her pizza happily. Once she was finished, she grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. She found a movie that was playing already. She turned to him.
"Ever see this movie? It's awesome" she said as she placed her plate on the table then curled up against Brenden. She tucked her legs out on the couch and let her head rest in his lap. She felt so comfortable like this and around him.
She wondered if he was nervous about how things would play out now. Being they were exploring their romantic feelings toward each other, it scared Tamara. She thought about having sex with him and what it would be like. She wondered if he was thinking the same thing. She kept her cheek pressed on top of his thigh and watched the movie happily, completely content and relaxed.
A few hours later, she yawned and stretched, flipping onto her back so she could look up at Brenden's face. The top of shirt shirt exposed a bit of her cleavage, but she stared up at his face.
"I do love you a lot" she said quietly staring up into his eyes. The moment felt so serious and intense and her heart hammered a bit in her chest as she waited for his response

"No I haven't, shockingly." Brenden nudged her with his arm as he took bite of his pizza. It tasted delicious and well worth the food fight that it caused. Who knows what would have happened if they hadn't chosen to do the things they had. Not even just that day when meeting her at the marina or deciding to cool pizza for dinner. It goes beyond that. Like what would have happened if they hang met at the police academy. What if his brother, who was a big reason why he chose his career path, hadn't of died. Tamara and Brenden would never had be introduced. They wouldn't have become friends and worst of all, they wouldn't have shared that kiss that began a new chapter in their lives. It wasn't even about right then. It wasn't about discovering hidden but knowing that Bren may not have survived the emotional struggles threw life without her. In all honesty he had a lot to thank her for but didn't know how. He hoped that this new connection, relationship, or whatever you wanted to call it was a good start.
Bren placed his empty plate on the table before sitting back and becoming comfortable with Tamara in his lap. He placed one arm behind his head and the other around her waist as they watched the movie. There had been times where the two acted this 'friendly' towards each other and never thought much of it. At least not out loud. Brenden learned to compose his feelings around the bruntte; emotionally and physically. Resisting came naturally to him but now that everything was up in the air, it was hard for the twenty-six year old to focus on the tv. His eyes constantly glanced down at her, obviously allowing the manly thoughts circulate threw his mind. Even as the movie ended and Tamara turned to look up at him, he just couldn't help but stare at her cleavage. She was a gorgeous woman. No man could deny that. "I love you too...but I think you are just trying to butter me up. I see your real intentions here." Bren raised an eyebrow, his daring not so subtle. He was obviously messing with her, as always but as unserious has his words seemed, he meant it. Joking around was the only way he knew how to express them.

Tamara looked up at him with an innocent expression.
"My real intentions? Boy I think you've been sniffing cocaine" She said rolling her eyes. She propped her legs up on the arm of the chair and looked up at him.
"I know whats going through that mind of yours" she said playfully poking him in the forehead. "Let's just say I'm comfortale with it if you are. If you don't want to we wont" She said turning serious now. She looked up at him, her expression serious.
While thoughts of what sex was like with Brenden floated through her mind, she didn't want to pressure him into anything, hell she wouldn't want to be pressured into anything herself. It was all a bit new to her now, being they used to lie around the house like this alot, friendly no really giving a second thought to their movements. Now, it was different. They both were in love with one another. It was new territory that Tamara loved, but feared as well. She shyly looked away from him staring at the TV screen.
"I understand if you dont want it" she said quietly, and waited with baited breath for Brenden to respond
